Optin Cat 1.7: Turn Commenters Into Email Subscribers & More

David Hehenberger September 28, 2016

It’s been a busy summer at Fatcat Apps. After releasing Optin Cat 1.6 and Quiz Cat Premium (our latest plugin, check it out if you haven’t already) we’ve just shipped Optin Cat 1.7. Here’s an overview:

Turn Commenters Into Email Subscribers

This simple but powerful feature lets your commenters subscribe to your email list with a single click. Commenters are already engaging with your content, so why not let them subscribe to your email list? Optin Cat 1.7 lets you add a checkbox to your comment forms – setup takes less than 2 minutes.

Simplified Settings Screen

We’ve merged our “Powerups” & “Licensing” screens into a single screen called settings and added some delightful on/off toggles. Albeit only a small change, this change results in faster load-time and better overall user experience.

Support for Aweber Tags

Aweber has recently rolled out support for “tags”. Tagging your subscribers will let you use Aweber’s advanced segmentation and marketing automation features. Optin Cat is one of the first applications to roll out support for Aweber tags.
