While this provides a lot of freedom and flexibility, there are some things to keep in mind when using shortcodes inside your tables.

  • Easy pricing tables can take shortcodes for dynamically produced prices, product names, links, and features. This is the most expected use of shortcodes in EPT, and usually, work best if your shortcodes are producing plain text.
  • When adding other content via shortcode or HTML be aware that your tables may not be fully responsive to these elements. Larger things may not fit well, and your rows can become misaligned. You can fix this with custom CSS, or by adding same sized content to every column.
  • Shortcode Buttons – You can replace our default button with one of your own making via shortcode. All you have to do is wrap your buttons shortcode inside our [shortcode] brackets, and place it in the button URL, or text field. It doesn’t matter which, as it will overwrite both fields.

    Looks like this:
    [shortcode][my_custom_button][/shortcode]

    Tip:
If you want to add more buttons to your table elsewhere you do not need to do this.

These tips should help you when expanding and building your table with shortcodes.
