Free Update: Optin Cat 1.5 Adds Four New Layouts, AJAX Thank You Message & More

We’ve just released version 1.5 of Optin Cat, our email list building plugin. Paying customers will get access to some sweet new features free of charge, while both free & paying customers will benefit from a number of bugfixes and performance enhancements.

As always, all customers with an active license key will receive this release as an automatic update.

Four New Layouts (Premium Only)

We’ve added four beautiful new layouts to Optin Cat Premium. These layouts work for all optin types (popup, sidebar widget, post box and 2-step-optins). Here’s a preview:

AJAX Thank You Message (Premium Only)

Right after your visitors submit their email is the best time to display another call to action.

Displaying a “Thank You message” immediately upon form submission, without forcing a redirect to a “Thank You page” was a popular feature request. We’ve added a fully customizable “AJAX Thank You” message with this release to Optin Cat Premium.

Sexy New Form Submission Animation

Save your visitors from clicking the submit button multiple times because “nothing is happening”. Once a user successfully submits an optin form, he’ll now be presented with a sexy spinning animation, making it crystal clear that his submission is being processed.

Performance Improvements

You’ll now be able to create / edit optin forms with lighting speed. We’ve made a number of improvements to our optin form editor inside of the WordPress admin panel, resulting in much faster load speeds.

While we were at it, we added a beautiful blue highlighter, making it clear which part of the form you’re currently editing.

Numerous Bugfixes & Minor Improvements

We’ve shipped about a dozen bugfixes & improvements, resulting in a smoother experience. In particular we’ve fixed a number issues that occurred when Optin Cat was used in conjunction with some plugins or themes.
