Using Facebook’s website Custom Audiences feature, you can show targeted Facebook ads to your visitors (this is often referred to as “retargeting”).
Most people don’t buy the first time they visit your site. However, a study showed that website visitors who are retargeted with ads are 70 percent more likely to convert on your Web site. Thankfully, Pixel Cat makes creating Website Custom Audiences for WordPress a breeze.
How does it work? First, you’ll need to add your Facebook pixel to your site. Next, you’ll want to set up some events. Facebook’s Standard Events (eg. View content, Make a purchase, …) make it easy to reach people who’ve interacted with your website in a certain way.
Pixel Cat makes setting up events easy. In a matter of minutes, you can create events with Pixel Cat’s event builder, or with our WooCommerce integration.
Once you’ve set up your events, you can create finely tuned Custom Audiences, to which you can show highly targeted ads.
How to set up Custom Audiences
In Facebook’s Ad Manager, go to Audiences.
Now, go to Create Audience -> Custom Audience.
Choose “Website”.
To get the most out of Pixel Cat, click the dropdown menu under your Pixel’s name -> “From your events” and choose an event.
Here’s an example – a Custom Audience of people who viewed your pricing page, but didn’t make a purchase.
In conjunction with our event builder or our WooCommerce integration, the options are endless. Here are some ideas:
A Custom Audience of people who have added a specific product to their cart, but didn’t make a purchase.
A Custom Audience of people who’ve spent at least a minute on a product page, but didn’t make a purchase.
A Custom Audience of people who’ve submitted their email address using a lead generation quiz on your website.
A Custom Audience of people who bought a specific product. It’s always easier to sell more to existing customers than to find new customers. What about cross-selling additional products who people who’ve already bought from you? Or, what about creating a lookalike audience of people similar to your customers?
A Custom Audience of people who clicked on a specific button or link.
As you can see, the options are nearly endless. All these Custom Audiences, and many more, can easily be built using the event builder, or with our WooCommerce integration.
