Upgrading your Fatcat Apps License :

1. Log into your account,

2. Locate your download and click “View Licenses”;

3. Locate your purchase and click “View Upgrades”.

4. Choose your Level and click “Upgrade License”!

5. Proceed to checkout.

Once upgraded your license should remain the same, but you will need to install the new upgraded version of your product.

6. Install

After upgrading you will need to install your new product(s) and activate it with your new licenses. Head here for instructions.

Instructions:

1. Go to your WP Admin Dashboard -> Plugins.

2. Step 2: Deactivate any free or older versions of the plugin.

3. Install the updated plugin zip-file that you may download from your Fatcat Apps Account (if you have not done so already. detailed instructions).

4. Afterward, Find your product in the sidebar of your WordPress Dashboard.

5. Open the resulting drop-down, and select Licensing or Settings, (depending on your product)

6. Enter your license key, click Activate – then Save at the bottom, and you’re done. The license key can be found in your original purchase email and also in your Fatcat Apps Account.

What if my license status does not change?

Occasionally, your web host or caching plugins may cause communication issues with our licensing software.

If your license status doesn’t change after following the activation steps, please try these two things first:

1. Clear your website’s cache. If you are using a caching or security plugin, clear the cache and then try activating your license again.
2. Contact your web host. If you receive an error message referencing “CURL,” please take a screenshot of the full error and send it to your web host. They can usually resolve this by updating the CURL on your server.

Alternatively:

If the above steps do not help, or you are unable to activate for other reasons, You can manually activate any of our premium plugins by going to your Fatcat Apps Account > View Licenses > Add your site to your license.

Afterward, you can ignore the “inactive” status as this would resolve the issue for you.

However, automatic update notification may not show up in your WordPress Dashboard.

In order to update your plugin, you would need to go to your Fatcat Apps Account and re-download our plugin to get the updated version.

Then you would need to remove the old version and reinstall the updated version. You will not lose any previously saved work this way.

Finding your Facebook Pixel

1. Navigate to this Facebook URL.

2. Your Facebook Pixel ID is located on the right-hand side of this screen.

3. Paste this ID (12345… in the above example) into the “Facebook Pixel ID” field of Pixel Cat.

To use the Conversions API, you need to generate an access token, which is passed as a parameter in each API call. Inside Events Manager, follow these steps:

1. Choose the Pixel you want to implement.

2 . Select the Settings tab.

3. Find the Conversions API section and click on the Generate access token link under Set up manually, and follow the instructions pop-up.

The Generate access token link is only visible to users with developer privileges for the business. The link is hidden from other users.

Finding your Google Analytics GA4 ID.

1. Go to your GA4 property and click on Admin on the bottom left.

2. Under Property, click Data Streams.

3. Click on Web.

4. Click on your desired web data stream name that appears in the Web section.

5. Your Measurement ID is in the top right. Paste this into Pixel Cat.

Finding your Pinterest Tag ID.

1. Visit Pinterest to view your existing tags or setup a new one.

2. Copy the Pinterest Tag and paste it into Pixel Cat.

Finding your Snapchat Pixel ID.

1. Visit your Snapchat Ads Manager account.

2. Click on Create Ads on the top left, followed by Pixels.

3. Click on your desired Pixel and then copy and paste the Pixel ID into Pixel Cat

Finding your TikTok Pixel ID.

First, make sure you’ve already created a TikTok Pixel. If you haven’t, follow the instructions here.

If you’ve already set up a pixel, follow these instructions:

1. Navigate to this URL and select your required Ads Manager account.
2. Your TikTok Pixel ID is found by going to Tools in the top navigation bar, and clicking Events and then selecting Web Events.

After setting up your Meta (Facebook) Pixel with Pixel Cat, you may want to verify that the integration is working correctly. Here’s how to test your Pixel, including using the Conversions API test code.

Step 1: Clear Cache (If Necessary)

If your Pixel appears not to be working and you are using a caching or speed plugin, clear the cache and ensure the Pixel Cat plugin is excluded from caching and any JS/CSS minification or deferment settings. Next, try temporarily disabling these and test again.

Step 2: Check the Page Source (Optional)

To confirm that your Pixel is loading on the page at all, you can inspect your site’s HTML:

• Right-click on your website and choose “View Page Source”.

• Search for your Pixel ID.

• If the script and Pixel ID are not present, something on your site (like a plugin or cookie banner) may be blocking it before it can even run.

If the script is present but events aren’t firing, continue with the troubleshooting steps below.

Step 3: Use Facebook Pixel Helper

The best way to check if your Pixel is firing is by using the Meta Pixel Helper Chrome extension.

• Important: If you’re logged into WordPress, the Pixel might not fire for you. To test it properly, either log out or open your website in an Incognito Window.

Step 4: Use the Test Events Tool in Events Manager

• Go to Meta Events Manager (https://business.facebook.com/events_manager/).
• Select the Pixel you want to test and click to Data Sources
• In the top menu, click Test Events.

• Under Test Server Events, find the Test Code section and copy the test code provided.

Step 5: Enter the Test Code in Pixel Cat

• In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Pixel Cat > Pixel Cat.
• Find your Conversions API pixel type and locate the Conversions API Token field.

• Below this field, paste the Test Code into the Test Code input box.
• Save your settings.

Step 6: Test Your Pixel in the Browser

• Return to Meta Events Manager > Test Events.

• 
• Enter your website into the Test Browser Events field and click Test Events.
• Browse your website and perform actions that should trigger the Pixel (e.g., page views, add to cart, purchases).
• Check the Events Manager to confirm that events are being received.

Step 7: Remove the Test Code

Once testing is complete:

• Return to Pixel Cat > Pixel Cat > Conversions API.
• Remove the Test Code from the field.
• Save your settings to ensure only live data is being sent.

That’s it! You’ve now successfully tested your Meta Pixel integration using Pixel Cat.

Troubleshooting: Common Reasons Your Pixel May Not Fire

If your Pixel is not firing even after following all the steps above:

1. Caching or Optimization Plugins

   • Plugins for improving load speed may delay or block JavaScript.

   • Try temporarily disabling these and test again.

   • Also, make sure that Pixel Cat is excluded from any JS/CSS minification or deferment settings.

2. Cookie Consent Banners

   • Cookie tools may block the Pixel from loading until tracking cookies are accepted.

   • Make sure your cookie banner is configured to allow Meta tracking upon consent.

   • In some setups, the user must refresh the page after accepting cookies for the script to actually run.

3. Manually Added Pixel Code and Events

   • If you’ve manually inserted Facebook Pixel code or Events outside of Pixel Cat, this can cause duplicate or conflicting events.

   • Always use Pixel Cat only, and avoid pasting your Pixel code elsewhere on the site or building events somewhere else, like another plugin or Meta itself.

4. Plugin or Theme Conflicts

   • Try temporarily switching to a default theme (e.g. Twenty Twenty-Four) and disabling all plugins except Pixel Cat to isolate any conflicts.

For Facebook/Meta, we recommend using the Conversions API option(CAPI) to add both your Pixel ID and Conversions API Token at the same time.

Important: When using the Conversions API (CAPI), enter your Pixel ID only once by using the “Facebook Conversions API” type of Pixel. Do not enter it twice in a “Facebook Pixel” and “Conversions API” pixel type, as shown in the example below—doing so will result in duplicate events.  –

First, retrieve your plugin (eg. convert-cat-business-1.1.2.zip, easy-pricing-tables-agency-2.3.7). You can download the plugin from the purchase receipt (sent to you via email), or by logging into your account (you’ve received a login via email).

Installing any of our premium plugins can be done in 2 different ways.

Method 1: Installing the plugin via the WordPress admin panel

This is the recommended way of installing all of the Fatcat Apps premium plugins.

Step 1: Go to Plugins -> Add New

Step 2: Go to Upload -> Choose File

Step 3: Select your downloaded zip-file from your computer

Step 4: Click “Install Now”

Step 5: Click “Activate”.

Method 2: Installing the plugin via FTP

You can use this approach if the plugin install via the WordPress admin panel fails or if you prefer to use FTP.

Step 1: Unzip the Plugin’s .zip file. The file will be named after your product and the current version.
Step 2: Connect to your server using FTP.
Step 3: Navigate to your “wp-content” folder within your WordPress install.
Step 4: Navigate to your “plugins” folder.
Step 5: Upload your plugin folder (eg. convert-cat-business-1.1.2.zip, easy-pricing-tables-agency-2.3.7) to this location.
Step 6: Log into your WordPress admin and go to Plugins -> Installed Plugins
Step 7: Locate your newly installed plugin here, and click “activate”.
